'We will provide equipment like patrol cars and motorbikes worth $6.6 million. This is a donation,' says Ambassador Kim Jae-shin.

Korean Ambassador Kim Jae-shin paid Philippine president-choose Rodrigo Duterte an individual visit in Davao City on Thursday, June 2.

Kim, addressing media after his visit, said he saluted Duterte and talked about shared collaboration in various fields.

"We trust under his initiative, the Philippines will keep on developing further and further. We need to extend our reciprocal relations. Both nations will collaborate in a commonly advantageous manner," he said.

Kim extended the Korean government's pledge to help Duterte accomplish his popular hostile to wrongdoing arrangement by giving police hardware.

"We will give gear like watch autos and motorbikes worth $6.6 million. This is a gift," said the Korean authority.
"The need is to stamp out wrongdoing and medications. The Korean government completely bolsters and will participate," he said.

One of the results he expects from Duterte’s anti-crime plan is a better environment for investments and businesses in the Philippines.

One of the main topics the two leaders discussed was economic development. Korean companies have interests in infrastructure, transportation, and agriculture.

Case in point, the Korean government and the Philippines marked a $100-million advance arrangement for the Panguil Bay Bridge that will interface Tangub in Misamis Oriental to Tubod in Lanao del Norte.

It aims to increase growth in Mindanao with reliable and efficient transport infrastructure connecting the northern and western areas.
